How Voice Changer works

Voice Changer replaces the voice in a recording or video with another voice. The words, intonation, emotions and timing stay the same, and nothing is translated.

When to use

• Voice a short video or Reel without using your own voice

• Hear how a line sounds in a male, female, older or younger voice

• Create a character voice for a sketch, game clip or animation

• Hide your real voice in a recording you plan to publish

Where to find it

Open the Tools tab and tap Voice Changer. The tool works the same way in the web version and in the apps for iOS and Android.

What you can use

Each recording can be up to 5 minutes long. Limits and errors are covered in Voice Changer: limits, cost, watermark and errors.

There are three ways to add a source on the Source tab:

• Record: tap Record audio and speak. The first time, the app asks for microphone access.

• Choose a file: tap Choose and pick an audio or video file on your device.

• Share from another app (iOS and Android): in your gallery, files or a messenger, tap Share and select Change Voice in VocaLingo. The file opens on the Source tab right away.

How to change a voice

1. On the Source tab, record audio or choose a file, then tap Continue.

2. On the Voice tab, pick a voice. Tap ▶ next to a voice to hear a sample. If the source is a video, the Add VocaLingo watermark toggle is also here.

3. Tap Continue. The Result tab shows the selected voice and the estimated cost.

4. Tap Change voice. The file uploads first, then the voice is replaced.

What you get

• Audio: an MP3 file in the player. You can play it, download it or share it.

• Video: the same video with the new voice. On iOS and Android, tap Share or Save to Gallery. In the web version, tap Download.

History and trying another voice

Tap the clock icon in the top bar to open History. It lists all your Voice Changer results with the voice name and labels such as Video, Processing or Failed.

• Tap an item to open it. The source and the result load into the page.

• To try another voice on the same source, open the item, pick a different voice on the Voice tab, then tap Change again on the Result tab. You don't need to upload the file again.

• To delete an item, tap the trash icon. Items that are still processing can't be deleted.

How much it costs

About 12 tokens per minute of the source recording. The estimated cost appears on the Result tab before you start. Tokens are charged only when the result is ready: if the voice change fails, nothing is charged. Prices for all tools: Token pricing for each tool.
