You can use VocaLingo to watch a YouTube video and have a full conversation with AI about its content — ask questions, get summaries, extract key points or translate segments.
Option A: Transcribe first, then chat
This works best for long videos (lectures, podcasts, interviews).
Open Speech to Text and tap Paste link. Paste the YouTube URL.
Select the video language and tap Transcribe.
Once done, copy the full transcript.
Open AI Chat, paste the transcript and ask your questions: "What are the main arguments in this video?" or "Summarize the key points for me."
Option B: Attach directly in chat
For shorter clips (under 10 minutes), you can attach the video directly.
In AI Chat, tap Attach → File or use the Paste link option to import from YouTube.
The video appears in the chat. Tap Recognize speech chip to transcribe, then ask follow-up questions.
Example prompts
"List all the products mentioned in this video with their prices."
"What did the speaker say about inflation in the second half of the video?"
"Translate the key points into Russian."
"Create flashcards from the vocabulary used in this lesson."
