What VocaLingo Chat can do

VocaLingo Chat is an AI assistant built into the app. You can ask it questions, give it tasks and use it to work with text, audio, video and images directly inside the chat.
Text dialog
Type any message and the AI responds. You can ask questions, get explanations, request a translation, summarize a document, write or edit text, solve problems or just have a conversation. The chat supports full multi-turn context, so the AI remembers what was said earlier in the same session.
Quick actions
When you attach a file, the chat shows action chips at the top of the input area. These are one-tap shortcuts for common tasks:
Recognize speech: transcribe audio or video to text
Translate audio: translate and dub an audio file
Content analysis: get topic, key points, tone and summary
Clone voice: create a Custom Voice from an audio recording
Translate video: send a video for translation
Web search and research
The AI can search the web for up-to-date information. When it does, the status bar shows "Searching the web." For complex queries that require multiple searches, it runs a Deep Research flow that reads several sources and synthesizes a detailed answer.
Other built-in tools
Image generation: ask the AI to generate an image and it will produce one in the chat.
Quizzes and flashcards: ask the AI to create a quiz or flashcard set on any topic for practice.
Maps: ask about a place and the AI can show it on a map with directions.
Memory: the AI can remember facts you tell it and use them in future conversations.
Video downloads: paste a YouTube, TikTok or other video link and the AI can download it for you in video or audio-only format.
