AI Chat can search the web, research topics in depth across multiple sources, and read any web page you share. These features let you get current information without leaving the app.
Web search
When you ask about current events, prices, recent news or anything that requires up-to-date information, the AI automatically searches the web. You will see Searching the web… while it runs.
Web search is also triggered when you ask for information the AI cannot reliably answer from its training data alone.
ℹ️ Enabling web search adds a small additional charge per query on top of the model cost. The AI decides when to search — you do not need to enable it manually.
Deep Research
Deep Research is a multi-step research mode that finds and reads many sources before composing a comprehensive answer. It is best for complex topics that need synthesis across multiple sources.
You will see a live progress feed while it runs:
Researching… — breaking down your question
Refining request… — clarifying the search scope
Checking details… — verifying specific points
Searching more… — following up on gaps
Reading sources… — reading the collected pages
Preparing answer… — writing the final response
To trigger Deep Research, ask something like: "Do deep research on..." or "Give me a comprehensive report on..."
Reading a URL
Paste any web page URL in your message and the AI will read its content and answer questions about it. This works for articles, documentation, product pages and most public web pages.
Example: "Read https://example.com/article and summarize the key points."
You will see Reading page… while the page is being fetched.
