Add Captions creates a new video with styled subtitles burned into the picture. You can add animated captions, create clean standard subtitles, or translate the spoken content and render translated subtitles on the video.

When to use

  • Add social-style captions to a short video, Reel, TikTok or YouTube Short

  • Make a video easier to watch without sound

  • Translate spoken content into another language as on-screen subtitles

How to run

  1. Open Add Captions from Tools.

  2. Choose a video, paste a link, or send video from another VocaLingo tool.

  3. Pick a template and optional translation language.

  4. Tap Add Captions and wait for upload; processing continues on the server.

How much it costs

Mirage templates cost about 15 tokens per started minute. Standard and translated captions are calculated from speech recognition, optional translation and subtitle rendering.

ℹ️ Pricing update (June 2026): Standard ASS caption pipeline markup was recalibrated (v2 to v3 multiplier). Token estimates for Standard and translated captions may be slightly higher than before; the app always shows the current estimate before you start.
