Microphone or camera access denied

How to enable microphone and camera permissions for VocaLingo on iOS and Android if you denied them at first launch.

Some VocaLingo features require microphone or camera access. If you denied permission at first launch, you need to enable it manually in device settings.

Microphone access

Microphone is required for:

  • Recording audio in Speech to Text and Text Analysis

  • Voice mode in AI Chat

  • Recording a voice sample for Custom Voices

iOS

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone.

  2. Scroll down and tap VocaLingo.

  3. Toggle Microphone on.

Android

  1. Open Settings on your device.

  2. Go to Apps → VocaLingo → Permissions.

  3. Tap Microphone → select Allow.

Camera access

Camera access is needed to attach photos or record video directly in AI Chat.

iOS

  1. Open Settings → VocaLingo.

  2. Toggle Camera on.

Android

  1. Open Settings → Apps → VocaLingo → Permissions.

  2. Tap Camera → Allow.
