Received a voice message in a foreign language and need to understand it fast? Here is how to translate it with VocaLingo in about 30 seconds.
What you need
VocaLingo installed on the same device as WhatsApp
An active account with at least a few tokens
Step-by-step
Open WhatsApp and go to the conversation with the voice message.
Tap and hold the voice message. A menu appears.
Tap Share (or Forward). The system share sheet opens.
Select VocaLingo from the list of apps. The audio is imported automatically.
VocaLingo opens on the Translate Audio screen with the voice message loaded.
Choose the target language (the language you want the translation in).
Tap Translate. In about 30 seconds you get the translated audio with a text transcript.
ℹ️ You get both the translated audio (voiced in the target language) and the full text transcript. You can listen to the translation, read it or copy the text.
Works with other messengers too
