After Video to Text transcribes a video, you can generate a structured summary of the content. The summary is created on demand and does not replace the full transcript.
What the summary includes
The summary is organized into four sections:
Title: a short descriptive title for the video content.
Summary: an overall overview of what the video covers in plain language.
Key moments: the most important points, decisions or events in the video, listed in order.
Takeaway: one sentence that captures the main conclusion or message.
How to generate
Open Video to Text and transcribe a video.
Once the transcript appears, tap the Essence tab.
Tap Generate. The summary is created from the transcript and appears in seconds.
ℹ️ The summary is generated separately from transcription and uses additional tokens. It is not created automatically after transcription completes.
When to use
You have a long video and need the key points without reading the full transcript
You want a shareable summary of a meeting, lecture or presentation
You need to quickly decide whether the video content is relevant before reading it fully
